Jason Houston – Director of Photography

Jason has worked with cameras his entire 25 year career. They helped him stay in school through high school, distracted him from his studies at university, and started paying the bills before he even left college. His focus is on people and what they do and how they live, and his work has appeared in print and online in The New York Times, National Geographic, The Nature Conservancy, Smithsonian, Science Magazine, The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, UNESCO, and countless others. And his short films have played at film festivals around the Europe, Australia and across the US including Mountainfilm, Wild & Scenic, DC Shorts, Environmental Film Festival, Flickerfest, Mendi Film Festival, and Brescia Winterfest. He is a fellow in the International League of Conservation photographers and in 2015 was named one of the “World’s Top Wildlife, Nature, and Culture Photographers” by Origin magazine.
